Witch Aelves are the public face and often regarded as the heart and soul of the covens and sects within the Daughters of Khaine faction. Devoutly fanatical in their worship of Khaine, their lives revolve around devotion to their god. In place of prayers and holy books, they practice with weapons, engaging in duels rather than reciting sacred texts, and of course, they live for battle. For the Witch Aelves, warfare is not just a means to an end—it is the purest form of worship. In the heat of combat, they enter a state of holy rapture, communing directly with Khaine himself.

When not embroiled in battle, the Witch Aelves are often described as cold or reserved, their demeanor a stark contrast to the bloodlust that overtakes them once they step into the fray. They dance through carnage, leaping and pirouetting amidst their foes, their fury channeled through every graceful yet lethal movement. If they are led into battle by a priestess of their order, their restraint evaporates entirely. The unit, driven by the divine fervor of their leader, loses all self-control, tearing the hearts from their living enemies and reveling in the bloodshed—a spectacle that can prove unsettling for any allies who accompany them to war.

In the Age of Sigmar, gladiatorial spectacles have become a popular tradition in many cities. Here, the Witch Aelves showcase their devotion, demonstrating their unwavering faith to the free peoples of the Mortal Realms.
