When the Aelven gods Tyrion, Teclis, and Malerion captured Slaanesh and siphoned the stolen Aelven souls, Morathi received a share in exchange for her aid. Beneath the temple-city of Hagg Nar, she forged Máthcoir — the Mother Cauldron — an immense iron vessel built to contain these liberated essences.

Through a dark fusion of shadow magic, enchantments, and her own blood, Morathi birthed the Melusai: twisted, serpentine reflections of her true form. Chief among them are the Blood Sisters — elite warriors and personal handmaidens to Morathi. Often deployed as bodyguards for Medusae or high-ranking priestesses, they also spearhead the assaults of war covens. Armed with heartshard glaives, they can unleash the scáith-touch — a soul-wrenching magic that turns enemies into crystal statues, frozen in the agony of death. The most skilled can even rip out a foe’s heart mid-transformation, trapping them in eternal torment.

The underhalls of Khruthú, deep below Hagg Nar, are lined with these crystalline victims — living monuments of pain. Morathi’s sanctum itself is built from their petrified remains.

Each Blood Sister wears a kragath war-mask, crafted in Khaine’s fearsome likeness. Layered with potent illusion magic, these masks allow them to walk unseen among their kin, appearing as ordinary Aelves — spies in service of Morathi, ever watchful for dissent or heresy.
